What do I need to do before the procedure?
The clients’ scalp must be healthy to receive SMP treatments. No active lesions from hair pieces can be present when receiving SMP. There should be minimal to no scaling at the time of treatment. Client must have healed hair transplant surgical scars with at least 12-months from the time of their surgery.
A sugar scrub on the scalp is recommended 48 hours before any SMP procedure to produce a flake free scalp for procedure.
Brushing the scalp with an old fashion bristle brush helps to bring blood flow to the scalp, assisting the follicles in producing hair growth. It is also good to do for the weeks leading up to any SMP procedure.
We will clean the area to be treated but avoid makeup the day of your appointment, if possible.
How long does it last?
SMP can have results that last up to 10 years before one needs a top off. The average is between 4 and 6 years.
